How to Block Websites Without using any Software

Block websites with few simple steps no need to use any software sometime its very useful to you.

Follow these steps

Brows C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc (where C: is your system Drive)
Double click on the file named "hosts"
It will ask Choose the program you want to use to open this file Choose notepad then click OK

In the notepad you will find something like below, it may be differ in your case.
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
# For example:
#          # source server
#              # x client host       localhost

Don't worry about that, all you have to is add the website just bellow of "  localhost" and that site will no longer accessible.
Example:-      localhost      The website address (www.*****.com)

Then save it (File menu save or Ctrl+s)
So now put the address you have given in your browser it will show "unable to connect".
You can add more websites like that.

You may also interested to know what is the concept, how it block the websites. Actually while you enter (is the Loopback Address) then at-least one space and the website name. It simply redirect the website to the IP which is a loopback address of your PC, so there is nothing to show and finally the browser can't display the page or site.

Thanks ......
