Lock Your Computer (Windows Key + L)
Walking away from your computer? Press Windows + L to lock it and protect your privacy.
Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc)
Having performance issues or a frozen app? Launch Task Manager directly with Ctrl + Shift + Esc to close unresponsive programs.
Open Run Dialog (Windows Key + R)
Quickly launch apps and settings with the Run command. For example, typing notepad opens Notepad instantly.

Reload a web page or refresh the contents of a window by pressing F5.
2. Smart Browser Tricks
Whether you’re researching, shopping, or binge-watching, browser productivity is key.
Reopen Closed Tabs (Ctrl + Shift + T)
Accidentally closed a tab? No problem. Press Ctrl + Shift + T to bring it back. You can do this multiple times to recover previous tabs.
Navigate History (Alt + Left / Right Arrow)
Go back or forward in browser history using:

Alt + Right Arrow: Forward
Much faster than clicking the back or forward buttons.

Clean Up Your Computer
Improve performance with regular maintenance:

A clean computer runs faster and crashes less.
Password Protect Folders
If you need to secure sensitive data:
Use free tools like 7-Zip to create a password-protected archive.
Alternatively, use built-in BitLocker (Windows Pro editions) to encrypt drives.
Note: Be cautious and don’t lose your password.
4. Bonus Tips for Advanced Users
Once you’ve mastered the basics, these next-level tricks can push your productivity even further.

5. Maintain Your Digital Workspace
